Screen Printing - The Best Choice for Bulk Orders

Screen printing is the industry standard for bulk t-shirt printing, and for good reason. It produces bold, vibrant colours with an exceptionally durable finish that holds up wash after wash - which is why it’s the go-to choice for wholesale t-shirt printing, event merchandise, corporate uniforms, and large clothing runs.

How it works: ink is pushed through a mesh stencil (one per colour) directly onto the fabric. The result is a thick, rich print that outlasts most other methods. Setup requires a minimum of 25 units per design, but the more you order, the lower the cost per unit - making bulk screen printing the most cost-effective option for large runs.

Best for: single or limited-colour designs, consistent large runs of 25+ shirts, corporate branding, events, promotional merchandise, and clothing brands wanting maximum durability.

Direct-to-Garment (DTG) Printing

DTG printing applies ink directly onto the fabric using a specialist printer, making it ideal for full-colour, photographic, and highly detailed designs that don’t suit screen printing. There’s no setup cost and no minimum order - which makes DTG a great option for bulk orders where each shirt has a different design, or where you need a complex multi-colour artwork reproduced accurately across a mid-size run.

Direct-to-Film (DTF) Printing

DTF is a newer printing method that produces full-colour, highly detailed prints via a film transfer - and it works on a wider range of fabrics than DTG, including polyester blends. How to Order Bulk T-Shirt Printing

  1. Get a quote - tell us your garment choice, quantity, design, and any size or colour breakdown. You can use our online order form, email us, or walk in. We’ll come back to you with pricing and confirm the best printing method for your job.

  2. Submit your artwork - vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) are preferred for screen printing. For DTG and DTF, a high-res PNG or PDF at 300dpi or higher works well. We’ll check it’s print-ready and flag anything before we start. No artwork? Our graphic design team can help.

  3. Approve your proof - we send a digital proof showing your design on the garment before production begins. No bulk order goes to print without your sign-off.

  • Our screen printing minimum is 25 units per design. Embroidery has a minimum of 15 units. DTG and DTF have no minimum - you can order a single shirt or a bulk run. Custom patches have a minimum of 50 units.

  • Same-day DTG printing is available for small bulk runs ordered before 1:30 pm Monday to Friday. Express turnaround (3–5 business days) is available for most orders. Standard screen printing and embroidery bulk runs take approximately 2 weeks from artwork approval. Get in touch if you have a tight deadline and we’ll let you know what’s achievable.

  • Screen printing on a budget garment (like Ramo or Good Mates) with a simple one or two colour design is typically the most affordable bulk option, especially at 50 units or more. Reducing your design to fewer colours significantly lowers screen printing costs. For complex or full-colour designs in smaller quantities, DTG or DTF often works out more cost-effective than screen printing.

  • Yes. We accommodate mixed size runs across the standard range. For screen printing, printing across many different garment colours within the same order may affect pricing - we’ll flag this when quoting. Most bulk clients stick to one or two garment colours to keep costs straightforward.
